Getting your sofa delivered before Christmas, and COVID


We know you probably have some questions regarding deliveries, Christmas and particularly the November lockdown that was recently announced. Q Will my new sofa be delivered in time for Christmas?

A Yes! All of our sofas and suites are sold from stock we hold ourselves at our showroom in Lancashire, and we guarantee delivery to most areas of the UK within 1 - 3 weeks. It can take a little longer for the Scottish Highlands, all islands, Northern Ireland and anywhere further afield. You can check our delivery page here for more details during December, to see when our Christmas delivery cut off dates are. Q Will my delivery be affected by the November lockdown?

A We work with a number of furniture couriers to make sure all of our deliveries will continue to go out as normal, and you will receive your order within our usual 1 - 3 week timeframe. If we need to make any special arrangements for your delivery, such as asking you to vacate the room or wear a mask during the delivery process, or if your delivery needs to be to the doorstep, we will discuss this with you before your order is dispatched.


Q Why are your delivery times so much shorter than other companies?

A All of our sofas and suites are in stock at our showroom in Clitheroe, sold directly from our showroom floor. We stock a variety of brand new, end of line sofas, as well as prototypes, sample pieces, ex display models and ex demonstration models. Because the sofas we have for sale have already been made, you're not in the position of waiting for the sofa to be made for you, which means a much shorter delivery time of up to 3 weeks for most parts of the UK. Unfortunately the knock-on effect of the lockdowns, COVID itself and related restrictions have left many manufacturers dealing with a large number of outstanding orders as well as increased materials costs and reduced staff.


Q Can I visit your showroom?

A As important as sofas are to us, we are classed as a "non-essential" retailer, and our showroom will be closed from November the 5th until the lockdown is lifted. We are however able to offer a "click and collect" service on all of our furniture and larger accessories - just email [email protected] with details of the item you wish to purchase and we will arrange a collection appointment for you. We look forward to seeing everyone again when we can safely reopen our showroom and get back to normal. In the meantime, you'll be able to order all of our furniture, homewares and accessories directly through our website.


Q If I order now can you store my sofa until Christmas?

A We might be able to do this for you, but you'll need to contact us before you place your order to arrange long term storage. It takes a lot of hard work to keep our showroom and website stocked with high quality discounted sofas and suites, and a large part of that work involves moving furniture off our showroom floor and into our warehouse until it's ready for delivery, and bringing in new stock onto our showroom floor from the warehouse. Because having customer's orders in storage cuts down on the amount of space we have available for new incoming stock, we prefer to have orders go out promptly wherever possible. Storage is chargeable at £5 per seat per week, with a minimum charge of £40 per month per order.


Q How can I see your new sofas or buy accessories?

A Our website is being updated daily with details of the new sofas and suites we have arriving every week. You can usually see a preview on our Facebook page here, and the new stock is listed on our website within a few days of arrival. We will also be busy updating our website in the background to offer a larger selection of our most popular homewares and accessories, including lighting, rugs, home fragrance, cushions and more! Q When will your showroom reopen?

A As soon as the lockdown is over and we're able to safely open again, we will go back to our usual opening hours. We're hoping this will be December the 4th. In the meantime, we'll be working extra hard to make sure all of our online orders go smoothly.
