Job Vacancy - Retail Sales Assistant (Part Time)
We are looking for a motivated and customer-oriented Retail Sales Assistant to join our team in Chorley. This part-time position is perfect for someone who enjoys interacting with people and is looking to balance work with other commitments.
Location: Chorley, Lancashire
Hours: 20 hours per week
Schedule: Typically 10am to 3pm, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Flexibility in the schedule may be available by arrangement.
Responsibilities will include:
- Assisting customers in the showroom by providing excellent customer service, including information on our products and services
- Processing customer orders and transactions in store
- Answering customer queries in store and over the phone
- Helping us to maintain a clean, organised and attractive showroom
Requirements:
- Strong communication skills and the ability to engage confidently with customers
- Basic computer literacy including familiarity with MS Office
- Experience in a customer-facing role
- Experience in the furniture or interiors industry is not necessary but would be beneficial
Pay
Initially £10.43 per hour, rising to £12 per hour after satisfactory completion of the probationary period which is three months, to be paid on a monthly basis.

Job Vacancy – Delivery Driver (Full Time)
We’re looking for a delivery driver to join our small furniture business, assisting with furniture deliveries and movement of goods.
Location: Chorley, Lancashire
Hours: 35 hours a week
Responsibilities will include:
- Working as part of a two person delivery team on deliveries
- Loading and unloading of furniture and other goods
- Driving safely to and from the delivery and collection locations
- Delivering furniture into the customers’ chosen room, setting up and demonstration where needed
- Liaising with the customers and our office and keeping customers informed of the estimated arrival time
- Assisting with additional tasks at the showroom and/or warehouse during quieter periods
- Once you’re settled in, potentially taking a lead role in booking deliveries with customers.
Requirements:
- Full, clean driving licence
- Previous experience driving large vehicles such as a 3.5T luton van
- Experience doing deliveries is not strictly necessary but would be helpful
- Must be physically fit and strong, able to help with lifting and moving heavy furniture including large sofas, heavy recliners, bookcases etc.
Pay
